1. Do not make any changes to the exterior of the house, including repairing any broken windows, painting the house, or replacing the siding. It is critical to leave the exterior of your property as is so that buyers can see how well-maintained it is.

2. Don’t try to update the interior—if it’s recently been updated, don’t go back and do it again. Instead, prioritize features that will have a greater impact, such as new flooring or appliances.
